   Discussion Questions covering Varley’s MILLENNIUM: 
 

What method of time travel does Varley employ in this story? Hint: It is not rotating cylinders, wormholes, or cosmic-strings and it involves changing the past.
 
One of the primary topics to be discussed will be the disconnect between the novel and the movie. Since the plot elements contained in the movie and the novel are so similar, (Varley even wrote the screenplay), to what do we account the failure of the movie to entertain when the novel succeeds to brilliantly?
