August 30th minutiae

We met on August 30th as planned, and had a geat time eating and talking about everything under the sun. We even managed to talk a bit about the latest books we had read. Rick reports that he is well into MAMMOTH and promises to be done by the 10th. Keith is so enthralled by IN THE BEGINNING that he finds he needs to stop and digest the material as he goes.

In other news: New Orleans is under water from hurricane Katrina. Gas prices have already started going up even though the gas in our pumps was produced long before the disaster. May God have mercy on the survivors.
