Wolfe's SOLDIER OF SIDON

Gene Wolfe has a new novel set in the soldier sequence called SOLDIER OF SIDON. The previous books are Soldier in the Mist and Soldier of Arete, and are set in the world of ancient Greek mythology; except in this world the gods are real. The soldier, Latro, is in some ways the anti-Severian. He can't remember anything from his last sleep, and must rely on the kindness of those he is with to read the scroll of his life and tell him what he needs to know to get through the day. We are going to have to add this series to the list soon.

The new book is due out in October 2006.
